As you know I fluctuate between hobbies constantly. Start a new one and a month later I’m back to an old one I haven’t touched in years. I’m fine with it, you can be too.

That’s my current unfinished painting. It will hopefully be done this weekend. I constantly see all this super cool artists doing amazing things…and then I quit painting.
It’s sad ya know? I think that happens a lot. I do it all the time. It’s a large part of hobby abandonment.

This are some clay beads that I made quite a while ago. I’m not going to lie – the majority of hobbies come from me being too cheap to shell out money for something I think I can create. Then I see someone else do it better and quit. I shouldn’t.
You shouldn’t either. We should all be learning from each. That’s how we get more ideas – when we both share one, then we have two. It just makes us both better.

That’s not the only reason I tend to abandon my hobbies – sometimes I just get bored. Frustration does play a large part. Wampa Rug photo only because he’s cool.
Bottom line is that everyone has to suck at their hobbies sometimes…you also never have to be good at them. Just don’t let someone else being good at something hold you back from pursuing it yourself. No one comes out of the womb walking.
