Easy to do, hard to master. That’s how I would explain the poly gel nail kit. I kept seeing it come across my feeds so I thought I’d give it a try.

I used this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09S2XPD64?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_5764VHXP704VKEA3GJKS

This is everything we got.

Get your base nail shaped and ready. APPLY SUNSCREEN before you use any little nail tanning bed. Take some alcohol and wipe down the nails and you are ready.

First you’re going to apply your base coat and cure it for 60 seconds. Easy enough. Then you’re going to apply your gel.

You can also apply it to the nail form first – might try that next time. Then you press the nail form on your nail.

You want to cure the nail again for 30 seconds on each side.

Then you just pop the form off. You can see that I did not do a great job of keeping the gel even.

Next you’re going to shape it any way you like. Look how pitty – I should be ashamed. I’m not. It’s supposed to look bad that first time.

Once you get it shaped you apply the top coat and cure again for 60 seconds. Voila! You are done. These puppies can be painted with gel polish or regular polish. In my experience I will say that they seem to last as long as a regular gel polish would, but with some added length and structure.

It’s going to look awful the first time. Check out these gaps on my left hand. Wowza! The good news is it comes with enough supplies to get really good at it. I would definitely recommend you try it out.
